How we turn pet years into human years
The multiply-by-seven rule is a myth, so we do not use it. Pets pack a lot of growing up into their first two years and then age more steadily, and our curves follow that shape using the current veterinary approach: dog and cat numbers come from the charts used by the AKC, AAHA, the AVMA, and International Cat Care, and the rabbit number is a popular convention that we clearly label as a fun estimate.
Dogs get one extra question, their size, because larger breeds genuinely age faster than smaller ones. Cats and rabbits follow a single curve each.

Why isn't my pet's human age just its age times seven?
Because that rule is inaccurate. Veterinarians retired it decades ago. Pets age quickly in their first couple of years and then more slowly, so a straight multiplier does not fit. Our numbers follow the current veterinary approach instead.
How do you calculate a dog's age in human years?
A dog's first year counts as about 15 human years and the second brings them to about 24. After that, body size takes over: small breeds add roughly 4 human years per year while giant breeds add closer to 7. We follow the veterinary size chart used by the AKC and AAHA.

No, and we say so on screen. There is no scientific or veterinary formula for rabbit-to-human age. We show a popular estimate for fun, based on rabbit life stages, but it should not be treated as fact.
Why don't you show a human age for birds, hamsters or guinea pigs?
Because there is no reliable way to calculate it. Some of these species vary too much for a single number to be meaningful. We would rather show nothing than show something misleading.
